The theory and hazard perception test are taken together with the hazard test following the theory test. In the first part of the test you are asked 50 multiple choice questions This part is answered using a touch screen computer you have 57 minutes to complete this section,the pass mark for the theory test is 43 out of 50 minimum. After competing the theory test the hazard perception test will start. This part is where you are shown 14 video clips each with a developing hazard in and just to keep you on your toes one of the clips contains 2 scoring hazards, click the mouse to register a developing hazard (something that makes you as a driver take some kind of action), the sooner you see a hazard develop the more marks you score. The pass mark for this part is 44 out of 75 minimum both parts must be passed at the same time. Ask your instructor for advice of what books and CDRoms to buy to help you. Your instructor will also monitor your theory and Hazard training and will assist you to achieve the right result on the day.
